Agreed, that is one cool looking Sherman! All those adaptions for close combat with Japanese infantry make it unique and stand out. I painted the same Marine tanker figure a while ago and was amazed by the detail of that resin figure, very impressive indeed what the level of quality is like these days. Great work so far, i am looking forward seeing this receiving some paint and badass weathering!!

The pig model company has the mine roller kit out now it's made of plastic. Got mine in yesterday, looks good so far. So far glues together good.

The actual position of 007 means it (and all the other Tigers with it) drove past the walled area where the M4s are normally placed and none of those Tigers are visible to those Shermans. If 007 was hit by a Canadian M4 then it must be one at the extreme northern end of the chateau grounds. There were two other Tigers advancing on the road and those two would be clearly visible to the walled Shermans and easy targets. The 1944 and post-war air views of the area do not show it very well but IGN have very good air views from 1937 that are much more useful for working out who was in line of sight.

The Sherman shown at 9:21 is an OP tank from an artillery unit. The artillery 'RC' marking on the front.

Well done and logical. It is completely irrational for so many videos to claim it was Ekins' tank that destroyed Wittmann's Tiger when the shot came from the opposite direction. I think they don't live in the current universe where the laws of physics do not allow for a tank shell to travel one kilometre and then turn around 180 degrees to destroy Tiger 007. 🙄🤷‍♂

I bought a small container of stainless steel ball bearings (small size} and put one in each vallejo paint plastic bottle. It does help mix them a bit faster when you shake them!

Thanks' Shane, not sure you will see this as i have noted this video has been up for a few years but I have just rediscovered modelmaking (Now retired!) and took the plunge and am trying to master the 'Airbrush'! Mistake number 1, I bought a cheap Chinese Airbrush. That was rectified with a H and S evolution but even so i was still encountering some problems with Vallejo paints! Was on the verge of giving up and converting to Tamiya but seen this video...bought some Vallejo flow improver and EUREKA!! So Again thankyou so much (From a fellow Celtic wet damp country too, But 'Cymru am byth!

I am planning to paint a guitar with the acrylic paint thinned with 91 percent alcohol..Can this be applied with a mini hvlp gun ? How durable are these paints?

I need to spray a glass tail light lens for my '36 Chevrolet coupe due to some fading. I'm going to use clear red (and NO primer!) I've used clear orange on bulbs. Just dipped them in and let it drain off. But, I need a lighter coat the inside of the glass lens. Any tips before I try it?

Before using the oil wash did you seal the paint work with varnish on your stowage. Thank you.

Get yourself a cheap P1000 scientific pipettor and some disposable tips. Also get some cheap 1.7mL "eppendorf" type tubes. This allows you to make exact, consistent mixes and you can store them a long time in the 1.7mL tubes. Total investment: about $40-50. The paint you save will pay for it.

Good job Shane, excellent presentation as always! I have yet to build a German Panther and I want to keep the Ardennes theme, so I need a G model. I have narrowed it down to this old Tamiya kit or the Meng TS-054, RFM 5018, Dragon 6070 or the Academy 13529. The Tamiya or Academy kits would be the simplest and therefore the most enjoyable and it has been a while for me building an Academy kit...but you make a hard case for this one! Another watch and you made have made it an easier choice. Thanks again.

Vms varnish are the best. Heavy wet coats and it sucks itself to ever detail.

Nicely done! Great idea on the cap badge! My great grandfather was a SB in the 7th/8th RIF and my great uncle was in the 1st Bn RIF, KIA 11 April 1917 attacking the Chemical Works along with the 2nd Seaforths in a doomed attack midday 1500 yards to the objective. I'm working on a diorama for that one, departing the sunken road in Fampoux on their fateful journey.
